IDTA dance examinations are just round the corner!
Only 10 days left until our next set of IDTA examinations here at the Academy. We have a 100% examination pass rates and are aiming to uphold that track record! We currently have dancers from the ages of 6-10 years taking examinations in Ballet and Modern Dance. Our dancers have to demonstrate set exercises, dance routines and curtseys to an examiner who will grade their dance ability from pass to distinction.
Examinations are a fantastic way for children to see their own progress in dance and also allows others to see their progress. By confidently showing an examiner that they can execute dance technique accurately, dance in time to music and perform, children are demonstrating continual improvement as a dancer. Exams also allow children to feel proud, accomplished and passionate about learning dance. At a higher level, dance examinations even contribute towards UCAS points! We encourage our dancers to start at a young age and develop their dance foundations now, as this will enable them to progress year on year with their dance grades and grow with us, taking more and more advanced exams as they get older.
Our young dancers are currently putting a lot of effort into their dance class rehearsals and are doing a great job of practising at home. We can’t wait to see them shine on the day!
